Raising awareness among women to keep them healthy and protected from the three Giants, cervical cancer, breast and oral cancer.

Team Sahaya Hastha works dedicatedly for a healthy life for underprivileged women. We educate and create awareness by doing door-to-door campaigns, visiting every household and creating awareness on cervical cancer, breast cancer oral cancer, and menstrual issues, affecting women in the rural areas of Bangalore, Karnataka, and also providing nutrition to needy cancer patients.

How Sahaya Hastha contribute
Often women’s health is neglected in society. The main reasons are lack of facilities, awareness, and access to healthcare. So we at Sahaya Hastha work towards raising awareness by organizing door-to-door campaigns, organizing camps, and educating the women in rural areas. Awareness followed by early detection and appropriate timely treatment will reduce the mortality rate due to cancer.
Our Initiative
‘Nutrition Kit‘ for the better recovery of people under cancer treatment. Supporting the health recovery of the needy people by distributing the Nutrition kit.
‘Hygiene Kit‘ for their basic hygiene needs. Providing better options for the health and hygiene of the poor people.
Connect
Team Sahaya Hastha connects to the local Anganwadi workers, work closely with them, and together connect to the rural women. We visit every household and talk to them to understand their health issues, gain their confidence thus breaking barriers of social stigma that prevent them from talking openly about their health issues.
Cultivate
Rural women are shy, unaware and neglected and need guidance on health issues, hygiene and nutrition, to enable them to lead a healthy life. We create awareness, educate them and help them cultivate a healthy life for themselves and their family.
Catch
Cancer is curable if detected in the early stages, but it may not show large visible symptoms in the early stage. Hence we educate them to identify the sign or minor changes in the body by doing self-examination for breast cancer, looking out for symptoms of cervical cancer like white discharge, itching, etc, and when it is important to see a doctor and getting screening done. we also organise screening camps periodically.
Cure
If cancer is suspected, we facilitate treatment and medications. Every life saved is important.
