Covid-19 second wave

We took up distribution of first line treatment, and medicine kits to the needy Covid positive patients.

What we have realized is that because of unaffordability, when food can be unaffordable, medicine can be a luxury, hence this section of people take only paracetamol and the disease gets aggravated.

We made a kit that covers the first line of treatment as prescribed individually by a Medical officer from BBMP, including masks and sanitizer. We have been functional, running two teams parallelly Green army Sahayahastha with 120 citizen volunteers and Belur Sahayahastha through which a helpline was launched and we could help more than 3000 Covid patients to get medicines at their doorstep.

We helped distribute daily 2000 meals, 1000 at lunch and 1000 at dinner. We have Distributed Oxy meter and Thermometer banks too which is crucial in preventing time escalation of the disease. Mostly humanitarian help has been directed towards Bangalore urban and the Bangalore rural has been wanting for help in all ways So realizing the need, We shifted focus towards this section of needy people.

We helped Covid care center at Doddaballapur Taluk, Isthur by organizing an ambulance and taking care of the logistics. We distributed oxymeters Anganwadi workers didn’t have access to Oxymeters, which is so crucial in avoiding critical escalation. They are the ones along with Asha workers doing groundwork and going to homes and helping Covid patients isolate, help them get admitted, etc. So we worked along with them in five Panchayat of Doddaballapur, gave them a pep talk, and distributed oxymeters.

We have also distributed Covid medikits, for home isolation patients at Doddaballapur Taluk and also hygiene kits including masks, soaps, Sanitizer, and sanitary napkins. We have distributed Ration kits to the needy in and around Doddaballapur with the help of Anganwadi workers zeroing down on Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and also solitary needy people who have no one to care for them.

We have organized cylinders to Covid positive patients and helped them set up oxygen treatment at home. Any help any time of the day we made sure that we were there to assist them. We also helped in coordinating beds for patients and whatever help was needed we have tried our level best at all times and the work continues..
